Maui Architectural Group is a full-service architectural firm. We guide your project from the early planning stages, through design and preparation of construction documents, assistance with permitting and selection of a qualified builder, to observation of the home's construction. With our more than 40 years of experience on Maui, you can be assured the design and construction will be of the highest quality.

Historic preservation is one of our specialties. We rehabilitate deteriorating properties while maintaining the design integrity of Hawai?i's plantation era. We've received several awards
from organizations such as the American Institute of Architects, the Maui Historical Society, Historic Hawaii Foundation and the Wailuku Main Street Association for our accomplishments in this genre.
Maui Architectural Group is also committed to the betterment of our island community. We have provided pro bono services to most of Maui's social service nonprofit organizations such as Maui Economic Opportunity, Lokahi Pacific, Women Helping Women, Habitat for Humanity, and the Maui Family YMCA.

With the number and diversity of microclimates in Hawai`i, there are many factors we take into account when designing the perfect home. Sun and wind exposure, views, and the building site's slope are all important considerations. We work with existing topography to minimize grading and the need to import fill, so our homes lie 'lightly on the land.' We introduced "sustainable" design long before the concept was popularized.
Navigating the county building permitting process can be a daunting task. The Maui Architectural Group team has the experience and expertise to successfully manage this aspect of the project on your behalf.
We offer an initial consultation at no charge. Several levels of service, with an accompanying range of fee structures, will then be presented to you for consideration. From additions and renovations to home design from the ground up, we at Maui Architectural Group greatly value the trust and confidence our clients have placed in us over the decades of service to our Island community.

Maui Architectural Group has woven 'sustainable design' components into its designs long before the concept was popularized. Currently we have trained sustainable design experts on staff and several LEED registered projects are in process, and a LEED Accredited Professional consultant is available if certification of your project is desired.
We work with existing topography to minimize manipulation of the building site so our homes lie "lightly on the land." Here in Hawaii we have a unique opportunity to live within the environment not struggle against it. Consequently we orient our designs to maximize natural ventilation as much as possible
utilize breezeways to enhance air flow
and carefully select materials free of toxic chemicals that are appropriate for our many micro-climates.
Alternative energy creation in the form of photovoltaic systems, wind machines or small hydroelectric generators has been employed in our designs. We also offer rainwater harvesting and storage system designs to collect some of the purest water on the planet. Complete self sustaining off-the-grid homestead planning and design services are also available from our experienced staff.
