Maui Recovery is a unique place that focuses not only on recovery from Drugs & Alcohol, but also treating and healing the root causes of addiction. Designed to provide an Ohana—a safe, nurturing and healing environment that our residents immediately feel upon stepping onto the sanctuary, our serene environment allows for a balance of solitude, peace & rest for real healing, treatment and inner work to happen. We work in collaboration with Behavioral Health Hawaii where our residents attend clinical therapy for 20+ hours per week. The Clinical team with a full staff of nurses, medical director and therapists. What makes our staff so unique, is that we too have gone through our healing & recovery journey and care deeply about each individual that comes into our programs. Our Centre was created for only for 8 individuals at a time, this was intentionally done so people can receive the attention, care and respect they deserve, treated like human beings versus being another statistic that we see in big treatment centres all over the country, focused on numbers and money, hiring burnt out therapists to keep costs low and profits high. We have an extensive program at Maui Recovery to go along with our intimate and nurturing environment. What differentiates us from other centers, is that in addition to the 20+ hours a week of the clinical program with BHH, we also fly in some of the worlds top Psycho-Drama experiential based therapists & EMDR Therapists each every other week to do deep trauma, shame, family of origins, inner child, emotional healing and grief work. We provide 4 additional programs that are included: an Emotional Healing Program that will explore your wounds, traumas and history, addressing the shame, pain, and root causes, an Adventure Therapy Program that explores the depths of your fears and insecurities, breaking through the walls, limiting beliefs & fears, a Health & Wellness Program that addresses any poor habits or unconscious thinking and builds upon healthy nutrition, diet & exercise, and finally a Spiritual Growth & Mindfulness program that will have you discover your individuality, deepen your spiritual belief and practice, awaken your understanding and expand consciousness. We are devoted to healing the Whole Self, and we know that drugs and alcohol are only the symptoms of a much deeper condition. We look at drugs and alcohol as the branches of a sick tree, and once we recovery from the branches, which normally takes 30-60 days, we can then focus on the real inner work and roots of the sick tree, which is what brought us to the addictions in the first place. Our Founder, David Naylor, is a walking miracle himself who by beating all the odds, found his way through this disease to the other side of a miraculous, healthy, whole life. He is not unique, for there are many individuals who have crossed the desert of their darkness, confusion and pau to find heir promise land and holy grail. Our staff has been through the core underlying work themselves and are living and breathing examples in their journey, living meaningful lives of purpose. Because addiction is a chronic, progressive disease that involves the mind, body, and spirit, affecting the entire family, our experienced staff integrates all five programs while embracing our residents and their loved ones through research-based treatment modalities, including many holistic therapies.

Located on the south-central coast of Maui, just one block from the warm, sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, our setting offers a private and tranquil oasis for individuals seeking their treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, those seeking healing of the Whole Self, as well as those who are newly sober individuals who developing and nurturing themselves in their recovery while practicing their tools, new life skills, and continuing their inner work, all of which keeps the environment thriving with healthy energy, connection, intimacy, and a family spirit where deep bonds are made.
